They may look like cool toys but style and function meet convenience in today’s innovative kitchen faucet designs. The new features blend perfectly with other practical aspects such as lasting longer and performing better.
Technology and practicality join in NDW’s innovative new faucet design called Eclipse. All you need is the tip of your finger to access all the functions built into this revolutionary faucet’s electronic pad on the unit’s front. Check out the colour change from a red light to a cool blue when the temperature changes from hot to cold. Flick on or off, change from spray to drip to aerator and control the water’s flow rate all with a swipe of your finger. A battery pack lodged under the sink will kick into use in case of a power outage.
Cleanliness is at the forefront of Moen’s new kitchen faucet designs. Motion sensors are built into the top of some units so that it can sense a hand on top and cause the water to begin flowing. Wave your hand over the unit again to stop the flow. A sensor towards the base of the faucet allows you to perform quick tasks like rinsing out a cup or spoon. There is a handle included for those resistant to technology. Moen faucets are finished with a unique antimicrobial protection called Microban which helps to inhibit the spread of bacteria and keeps the unit looking cleaner for a longer time.
There is something for everybody in Delta’s new line of innovative faucets. Their Diamond™ Seal Technology is unique featuring a surface composed on tiny diamonds that keep the valves tough and leak-free. It also creates a barrier that prevents metal contaminants from leaching into the water. Faucets are touch-free and a toggle can increase the flow of water to quickly fill up your pot or vase or watering can. The units even contain a soap or lotion dispenser which can be filled from the top and their trade-marked finish help to resist scratches and stains.
Pfister kitchen faucets go one step further with an adjustable spout. All you need to do is pull up on the spout to add the extra few inches you need to fill up your bucket or ultra large pot of water. The spout also swivels 360° so that you can maneuver easily. A definite plus is their promise that the ceramic disc valve technology they employ will never leak.
GROHE offers a line of faucets that can replace your Brita filters and reduce your reliance on bottled water, even if you like sparkling water like Perrier. This relies on a unique carbonation, filtration, and chilling system called GROHE Blue. This is done by installing the water filter system. Once set up, just turn the handle to the setting you desire, filtered, chilled, and still, chilled medium sparkling, and, full sparkling water.
