HGTV's new show

Have you ever driven passed a beautiful log home and wondered how they are made, or even how much they cost? We aren’t talking about your average cottage nestled on the lake, we’re talking million dollar properties.

New HGTV series, Timber Kings, premiered last weekend. The new show gives us an insight in to how these buildings are put together. It’s not as simple as you may think.

The series follows master log smiths from Pioneer Log Home in Willams Lake BC as they build massive multi-million dollar log homes to tight deadlines.

The homes themselves are built in BC. Every log is notched by hand to fit the next and then dissembled and taken to the property site. Maneuvering approximately 2000 pounds of logs can be a dangerous job.

Check out the show on Sundays at 10pm ET/PT.

Sit back and dream of your next home, a beautiful log one!
